NORTH OF ENGLAND DALMATIAN CLUB
Dalmatian Of The Year 2001

The Dalmatian of the Year Event is the premier Dalmatian event on the NOEDC calendar, bringing together the cream of British Dalmatians to compete for the titles of Dalmatian of the Year and Dalmatian Puppy of the Year. The Event is OPEN TO ALL QUALIFYING DALMATIANS.

The Event grew out of a bequest to the Club from a former President, the late Mr Arthur Johnson. The bequest was used to purchase the magnificent "Arthur Johnson Memorial Trophy" which is awarded annually to the Dalmatian declared Dalmatian of the Year.

The 2002 Event will be held at the The Sheffield Moat House on Saturday 19th January 2002. Bed and Breakfast is available at the Motel for £35 per person.
Tickets for the Match and further details from Maggie Mulholland Tel:01623 720987 at £5 for spectators and £25 for the dinner in the evening

The Event comprises two separate competitions - the Dalmatian Puppy of the Year followed by the Dalmatian of the Year. Exhibits qualify for the Puppy of the Year event by winning a Best Puppy in Breed award at a Championship Show at which Challenge Certificates were on offer during 2001, or a Best Puppy in Show award at one of the Open Shows run during the year by the various Dalmatian Clubs in the United Kingdom. There are three Judges for the competitions, whose names remain secret right up until the start of the competition.

The Dalmatian of the Year competition is sub-divided into dogs and bitches, each having qualified for the Event by winning one or more Kennel Club Challenge Certificates during the year. The winning dog and bitch from each section compete in the final for the title of Dalmatian of the Year.
