This Year
These are photos of this year in the garden. These photos were taken just before the URG Meet in May. The first shows the yellow bed (that's what I call it anyway)
What I aim to do is take pictures every month so you can see the seasons develop.
The small stick in the grass to the left behind one of the dogs is my Snake Bark Maple, but it is slow growing!
The large green tree is the Hazel and to the left of that is the Acer pseudoplatanus brilliantissimus. It does provide colour at a height for that time of the year though it also will cause the bed below it to be in deep shade by June or July.
We put an arch in the middle of the bed to give some height and to give support to a Jasmine and two roses.
p.s. the hedges need cutting!
What a pretty picture
This is what Tom terms a 'pretty picture' it shows the garden from behind the yellow bed looking through the lower branches of the Acer. I did clear a lot of branches from the Hazel last year and also the Acer which seems to have given the Rhododendron a new lease of life as it has started to sprout new growth from close to its main trunk.
